I believe "tossing some change into the tip jar" refers to the Donate link on the main menu of Paul's site.

I need to do the same thing. If I can't shake some money loose from my employer, I'll just have to do it myself. Paul's stuff is *that* useful

    Cheers,
    John

First off I would like to say how AWESOME i think captiv8r is - his knowledge of captivate must rival those who actually developed the program. Secondly to point out how lucky we are to have him as part of this forum as he answers most of the questions here, so where would we be without him.

Thank you for all your help.

    Erm,

tossing some change into Paul's tip jar -

Ive not come across that on his website ( i can see the comments section, is that what you meant )

Right, yeah, sorry my browser was playing up - Ok I have downloaded it, but can one really use this widget to do what i am looking for, which is -

effectively create a keyboard shortcut for pausing and restarting these
captivate movies. I don't what to un necessarily stop the video, I want it
to play all the way through but pause if the user presses alt.

Maybe I am wrong but it looks like you can't really do that with this widget.

    Hi Jane

Perhaps this other one will. Actually, I believe it's the one I originally intended to point you to.

Again, the link below should take you to the page where you may observe the widget.

If it works and you like it, please consider tossing some change into Paul's tip jar for the effort!

    Cheers... Rick

It's the widget called "Alt Key" that the link goes directly to. You have to download the zip file and then insert the swfs into your Captivate module.
