Create caption with transparent fill

Anyone know how to create a new caption style with a colored border and a transparent fill? I create them in Fireworks and then put them in the Captions folder. Also create the corresponding FCM file just fine. When I use the caption inside my Captivate project it shows up great. Then I preview it and the entire border is gone. The transparency is there, but there's no colored border. Help!!!

Hi ya Rick. Of course it's true! So I ought not to have any problems, right? Hmmm.

So about this crazy caption. If I understand your comments correctly, Captivate uses the pixels at the top, left corner and at the left center of the caption image (where it's going to split) to define the transparency color. In my case, the caption image is yellow at the top left corner and there is no color in the center (because it's to be fully see-through). What do I need to change to make it work?

    Hi Lola

I hear what Lola wants... Lola gets! (I have an uncle that is fond of saying that)

Anyhoo, it's been my experience that if you take a caption image and split it both vertically and horizontally, the pixel color in the upper left of both the caption itself as well as in the upper left of where the split would occur are used as the transparent colors. I'm thinking the process may be as simple as creating a solid color, then drawing a colored border that doesn't quite run to the edge of the image used.

    Have you tried that?

    Cheers... Rick
