Create custom navigation buttons (glossary, home, resource etc)

Hi all,

I am very new to Captivate and hence have a bunch of questions. I am using Captivate 2017 (Windows)

My client wants to have the following buttons displayed on their LMS.

Home button: (Takes you to start of course)

Transcript button (Displays transcript text)

Glossary button (Displays list of important terms used in the course)

Resource button (allows you to download files and print them)

These are in addition to play/pause/next/back/mute/help/exit

How do I create these buttons with customs icons? The default playbar of Captivate only has the basic ones.

This is nothing something to ask a newbie to achieve, sorry. You'll have to take some training, even advanced training. For the simple navigation buttons you can use Shapes converted to buttons, there is a category 'Buttons' that have several navigation buttons with attached scripts, but not multistate buttons. For the other buttons, you need to plunge into variables and advanced actions. Here are some resources:

1 action = 5 Toggle Buttons - Captivate blog

Navigation Help Slides - Captivate blog

Tips - Learning Interactions - Captivate blog

Pausing Captivate's Timeline - Captivate blog

Forum is meant to help solving problems, not to offer complete solutios for such a broad topic.
