Create own quiz results page

I'm trying to create a custom graded quiz results slide. I want to include three buttons:

Retake Quiz - this button would reset the quiz and allow the user to retake the quiz.

Retake Course - this would allow the learner to go back to the beginning of the course and retake the quiz

Exit Course - this would allow the learner to exit the course.

I have also tried adding my own buttons to the standard results page, but I'm not able to add buttons. That feature is grayed out.

I have searched high and low and can't find anyway to do this in Captivate 9.

Any ideas?

Here is a very easy way: create a scored button on the first slide of the course. It can be a Next button, score can be just one point. Uncheck 'Add to Total', so your total score will remain correct. The Retake button on the score slide will then automatically get the user to that slide.

But as I told: do not put the Exit button on the score slide.

The default score slide offers the possitiblity to add a Retake button, which will reset all answers, and allows the user to start a new attempt on quiz level. What is the reason that you cannot use that button? If you want to have also the Review possibility, I recommend to drag the Review button under the Retake button. More info in this blog post:

It is a pretty old post, should write out a new one. The part about the confusing Next/Skip button on quiz slides is no longer necessary in Captivate 9, which has now dedicated Next/Back buttons appearing during Review.

As for adding interactive objects to a quiz or a score slide, only the shape buttons can be used. There are some restrictions, I tried to explore and explain in another blog post:

It is not a good idea to have an Exit button on the score slide. Much better is to have another slide after the score slide for that purpose. That way you are sure all the quizzins system variables are correctly populated. Going to the slide after the score slide can be done using the Actions for Passed/Failed in the Quiz Preferences.

Hi there. Thanks for the advice.

I was able to use the "Retake Quiz" button on the standard quiz feedback slide. The issue comes in when I want to add a button which will allow the learners to retake the course as well.

I have an advanced action on the slide to show certain text in buttons if they pass or fail.

The quiz is set to infinite attempts.

Basically I need a way to allow a learner to retake the quiz, and retake the course if they fail. If they pass the quiz, they can exit and go about their lives as is.

What is killing me is creating a button that will allow the learner to retake the course on the existing quiz feedback slide. When I create that button, nothing happens when I click it in preview mode.

It is driving me crazy.  I know there is a simple solution.
