Creating a Responsive project from PowerPoint?

I have a project which I created using PowerPoint.

However, I would like to  migrate this into a full-blown responsive captivate project for mobile and tablet and desktops.

Any suggestions/best practices, etc. for converting a PPTX-based project into a full blown responsive project.

This is not the answer you'll expect, but I'd say: do not even try it. If you import a PPT, which is non-responsive, into Ca^ptivate it will be a normal project. Each slide is converted in a movie slide, keeping all the animations from the PPT. There is no easy way to convert a normal project into a responsive project. Since you don't have the separate objects from the PPT, it is practically impossible to set up size and location in different breakpoint views. You can only rescale the 'movie slide's', I don't think that result would look fine on a small mobile browser screen.

Use the assets, the storyboard, the backgrounds from the PPT but create a responsive project from scratch in Captivate.

As Lilybiri has mentioned I don't think it is going to be the most efficient and best practice to import powerpoint. I believe from my experimenting with it the powerpoint page is converted to a swf movie file that is inserted into the captivate slide page. As such the auto size adjusting feature of the responsive project would have to compensate for quality and size and that in itself can be problematic in output. As Lilybiri said the import is limited to the normal slide since it is utilizing .swf which to my understanding the responsive platform utilizes html5 scripting.

I believe the best option in this case would be to recreate the assets you have in the powerpoint on the the responsive project slides. In this way you would retain control of the elements of the slide and can easily make adjustments as needed.
