Creating an image gallery

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried to create an image gallery?

What I would like is gallery of thumbnails on the side that you can click on and will load in the center of the canvas. Audio would be playing in the background too.

Hi there

Unfortunately there isn't a feature like that in Captivate. Certainly you may import images to create a slideshow, but something like this would require a Widget to present the thumbnails and link to the appropriate slides where the images are presented.

Thinking about it, if this is what you are after, as much as I love Captivate it may not be your tool of choice and perhaps you would be better served to choose a dedicated tool. Something like SimpleViewer. http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/

I need it to work within Captivate though.

Hm, I'm trying to create the gallery in Flash and thene embed it in Captivate. Not quite there yet ...

Yeah, to do that successfully you will either need to create a loader or obtain the loader widget from CPGruru's site.
