Question

Creating Rolling Text - think rolling credits

Hi.  I have searched the Captivate forum with no success.  I would like to put in one of my slides a rolling list if text.  I can get it to roll in and out (in from bottom, out at top) with entrance/exit effects but what I want it to do is exit at a certain point.  Currently it goes to the top of the slide.  Any suggestions out there?  I am using Captivate 2017.

Thanks.

Gretchen

Change the motion path. This is a very, very old post, but it shows how to change paths:

Which version do you use? In latest versions motion paths are visible by default.

Thanks.  I am using Captivate 2017 and I have motion effects for it to roll in and roll up but I don't want it to go to the top - I want it to disappear at a certain place such as you see in rolling credits..  I will continue to work on it.

To achieve this you would need to animate each line of text separately and set the fade out timing to occur just as each line of text reached a point at the top of its travel.

It's your call but quite frankly this would require a lot of time-consuming fiddling just to achieve such an effect.
