Cropping .swf FIles / .Gif FIles not Playing

I have a project I need to update that contains multiple .swf file animations.

I need to remove a hundred pixels or so from the left of the screen. I cropped the entire project to resize all non .swf slides which worked perfectly, but the .swf files are throwing an html 5 error when I attempt to publish. I attempted to convert them into .gif files, which oddly works for some but not all of the animations. On preview and publish it gives me a loading wheel, followed by a white screen with my text on top of it.

So 1. is there a way to get around the html 5 error?

Or 2. is there a way to get the .gif to work?

Did you take out all the SWF animations? You talk about .SWF slides as well, what do you mean by that?

Which exact version are you using? You find the full number under Help, About Captivate. What is the HTML tracker showing?

Animated GIFs often lead to problems. I don't know what those animations really are and how important they are in the course. Could you insert some screenshots?

If these are very old projects, it is also possible that the Theme needs updating as well. Which theme do you use?
