I have some shadowed cursors and want to use this in recordings.

But these have green outlines instead of shadows.

Here is an example:

    Hi Rick,

    MS cursors work just fine.

The cursor that I posted its screenshot in the first post is not my design. I got it from a customization site a long time ago.

But I am designing cursors with Microangelo.

The thing is these cursors have worked just fine in Windows XP, many games only Captivate has this kind of problem. That's what's bugging me.

    Hello there,

Has anyone figure out what the problem is with the green outline? Like the original poster, I have used my custom cursor with no problems in Windows, yet the moment its used in Captivate, I get the green border!

    Cheers,
    Alex.

I still have no solution or workaround for this (much research) - does anyone know whats going on or how to fix it?

Or is this a bug that needs reported?

    Cheers,
    Alex.

    Thanks for the response flarext

The pointers are not Microsoft branded. Indeed what I try to do is make a cursor in mouse shape. And same thing happened with that mouse. But I'm using these cursor just fine in Windows.

The other pointers are fine but these anti-aliased cursors aren't working. I also get the green border in the captivate Mouse context menu where you can select other cursor.

Unfortunately turning off the cursor shadow doesn't work.

    Hi Nihatmala

What about other cursors that are simply included with Windows? Do these work fine? From what you have posted it would seem you are creating your own special cursors. If so, perhaps the application you are using is partly or totally to blame.

    Just a thought... Rick

    Hi Nihatmala,

From the image you posted, it looks like you are using a custom cursor. I have not seen that cursor included in the default Windows cursors available in the Mouse Control Panel (Pointers tab).

    - If you try recording using one of the Windows themes for pointers does it record ok? If these sets record ok, then the problem could be with the cursor set you are using.
    - Another thing you could try would be to go to the same Mouse Control Panel > Pointers tab and turn off the option for "Enable pointer shadow".
    - Also take a look at the Pointer Options tab in the same dialog and test different options.

    IHTH

    Best,
