Question

Custom built page bookmark is not working

Hi,
We have used Captive 2 to built course & publishing it for SCORM 1.2 for eLearning output.
Some of the custom built interactivities page with more than one step in it, bookmarking is not working. It skips the bookmark for those interactive pages.

Is there are solution to avoid this ?

I think you've answered your own question.

If Captivate only sends bookmark information on slides with reporting enabled, you're stuck with enabling reporting on every slide.

You can set the points on your non-interactive slides to zero, but I don't see any way around it other than perhaps trying to patch into the SCORM code somehow. Definitely not for the faint of heart.

Captivate assumes one interaction per slide, so it may be that multiple interactions are causing a problem.

Also, there was a recent discussion about bookmarking issues and I want to say that the theory was that bookmarking is only available for a slide if you have reporting turned on for the slide. The thought was that Captivate doesn't send anything to the LMS unless a slide is being reported on.

I could be wrong, but that's what I remember.

Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. It is like that until we turn on report for particular slide nothing get reported to LMS (including bookmark).

If this is the case then i have course which has some interactive pages along with assessment. I want to just report the scores for assessment pages and not the other interactive practice pages. If i turns on reporting for other pages for bookmarking purpose my score get updated which is not required.
Is there any way I can bookmark each interactive page & normal page without updating the score ?(excluding assessment)
