Custom Captions

Hello all,

I am experiencing a little weirdness with my custom captions in Captivate 3.

What I did: Used existing caption type as a template, editted the colour using GIMP, saved as bmp. Used existing .FCM as template, renamed to mirror file name of bmp in last step.

What happens: I have the new coloured version of the caption but for some reason it does not seem to be reading the .FCM as my text overlaps the edges of my caption image.

I only created the one caption .bmp as I do not require the various callouts.

What am I missing?

Thank you,
Norm

    Thank You Rick!

I am seeing another weird one with captions if I choose a custom caption, then decide I don't like it. Change the name of .bmp and .fcm and then select it, Captivate always reverts to the first caption I selected. Is Captivate caching the file based on the checksum of the file?

    Any help is appreciated.

    Welcome to our community, Norm

Had you already used that Caption name in Captivate? If so, it's probably cached in the project. If you are still tweaking the margins, you need to tweak, then use in a fresh, blank project. Didn't like it? Tweak again and create a totally new, blank project before viewing.

Aside from that, just ensure the file names match.

    Cheers... Rick
