Custom Image buttons not working!

1 - I put my images on the Gallert/Buttons/More file of Captivate 9, OK.

2 - Then on Captivate I create a image button, click on the file icon, select the image I've put in the More file and hit OK.

3 - Nothing changes! My button stays the same and the image doesn't appear in the options at the right.

Ps: This was working fine before, the images I had are still been shown in the right menu inside captivate. Oh, and before anyone says it, I've tried rebooting Cp AND my computer.

HOW DO I FIX THIS?

Thanks.

Hi,

I do have the same issue. The images that i loaded in Captivate8 are available and work as normal, but as soon as i add new one it will not take it.

Did you have 3 images with same name but with _up, _down and _over added to that name? If that is the case, they don't have to be in the Gallery, but in the same folder. When you point to one of the images  for an image button CP should find the other two automatically. I just double-checked because personally I don't use image buttons anymore since shape buttons appeared, but had some old ones. It works perfectly, the way it did in previous versions. Just the 'preview' in the Properties panel doesn't look like my buttons, maybe that is a bug?

The image files  I used were labeled Pause_up.png, Pause_down.png and Pause_over.png. The three images appear in the three states.

I seem to have the opposite effect of what you describe: buttons appear correctly on the stage, not in the list under Image Button.

Hello Lilybiri,

I see... It worked perfectly for several times and then for no reason stopped, but yes my images appear in the 'preview' panel, refer to the picture.

Anyway, I managed to do it by creating the buttons in a different project and then copying them to the current one.

Thanks for the answer!

I hope you don't mind me offering a tip: use a shape and fill it with an image. You can choose an image for each state, and if you save that shape style the shape will appear in the Object Style Manager with its 3 states. Shape button shave a lot of advantages: they can be timed for the rest of the project, used on master slides, on question slides and score slide. That is not possible with the old buttons, not with image buttons, nor text buttons, nor transparent buttons.

This screenshot doesn't show you the preview (which is there as well), but you see that I created a shape button style with three states. In the new Object State panel you'll be able to see those three InBuilt states as well. It is way easier than creating those old image buttons.
