Custom Question issue in Captivate 8

In Captivate 8, we have a quiz slide set up.  If you wait long enough (5-10 seconds), the pause button turns into a play button - if you hit the play button, it moves you forward to our feedback slide (with the correct answers) without hitting "submit".  Then, if you hit the back button, you are able to insert the correct answers (after seeing them on the feedback slide), hit "submit" and get 100% accuracy.

Does anyone know a work-around to this?

Thanks!

Brent

I was mistaken...it is Captivate 8.  Frank is correct...he is the designer...I wanted to get the question started and brought him aboard to answer specifics.

I changed both the title and the indication to the version in the original question.

What is bothering me is this: you used a question slide, because I see a pausing point in the slide which will only appear in the default question slides.  This means my original question needs an answer: which embedded objects did you delete? Those objects have a lot of functionality built in, and deleting them will screw up that functionality. The Submit button is the most important button, never delete it.

I see two shape buttons are added to the question slide, pausing at exactly the same point as the question slide itself. That pausing point has been pushed (too) far till the end of the slide. You can move it, but leave little bit more of an inactive region towards the end of the slide.

It looks like that quiz slide is messed up: did you delete any embedded object (they do not have a separate timeline)? Did you change the pausing point? Which custom objects did you add to that slide? Can you post a screenshot of the timeline?

Can you check the exact version number? Present is 9.0.1.320.

I don't understand: in the original question you talk about Captivate 9, now you say it is 8?

Is this a custom built question slide, I need to know how it is set up exactly. That cannot be read in your description.
