Custom text captions

Is there a way to create a text caption style?  I would like the caption box to have a color that is not available from the standard choices for text caption style.

    Oh yes,, that is possible, but didn't you try to replace the captions by shapes as text containers: shapes have Fill and Color properties in Captivate's Properties and are easier to edit change, and to create an object style for them.
