Customising the Captivate Player - showing Slide Notes

Hi all,

There is an example of a demo video that a client has shown as an example and want the same thing created with Captivate projects.

https://salesforce.adobeconnect.com/_a13852757/crmnaveng/

They want the same functionality - the table of contents can be done easily enough. And I know how to get Slide Notes in but how can a user actually access the Slide Notes in the same way above.

Thanks a bundle in advance for any help or advice.

This was built with Articulate Presenter. If you client is certain that they want EXACTLY this, then you're probably going to be better off getting a license for Articulate and building it that way.

Captivate will look different to this (not better or worse), no matter what you do.  So is it similar functionality that your client wants, or do they just want this and nothing else?

    Hi RodWard,

The client will be fine with similar functionality but thanks for letting me know what program the example used - it's good to keep in mind.

    Cheers!

ps - do you have any idea about accessing slide notes via the player?

In Captivate the Slide Notes are used/recycled for the Closed Captions which can appear in a popup panel across the bottom of the screen. But you are not able to select them or cut and paste them into a documet (which you cannot do with Articulate either).

There's no rule that says the CC text should be exactly the same as the voiceover, but that's what CC text is usually going to be used for.

Captivate's TOC does not have a built-in function to show Slide Notes in a tab in the TOC.
