Hello.

I am reading the user guide of adobe captivate 9.  It mentioned that We can customized smart shapes. When I check in adobe captivate 9, the Shapes list does not give me the option to customize. Is this function still available?

I noticed that there are a lot of errors in the user guide. there are a lot of instructions which are not updated and is applicable to old versions of captivate.

thank  you

Help documentation is (at the least) very incomplete and not updated in many pages.

What do you want to customize? You can convert each shape into a freeform shape and edit the points. If it is not freeform, lot of shapes have yellow dots to make a first edit in the form. You can style a shape with the Properties panel. It can be functional both as a text container and a button. It has 3 states, and contrary to the old buttons you can change the label for each state. Have a look at this articles, where you'll see some customized shapes (styling).

Less know for styling, is to fill a shape with an image:

It is so frustrating that the help documentation release 9, has so many errors.  It makes my study slower because of trial and error.  I am a beginner of this tool.

Thankful for this forum and your blog
