Hi everyone,

I would like to customized the action associate with Adobe Captivate playbar.

For example with you clic on next button you could jump to slide XX.

I know, it s possible in adding own button with action, but in that case, I wish to keep Adobe Captivate playbar.

Thanks for your answer.

Best regards,

Chris.

Take a look at some of the free navigation controls from the eLearning Brothers. They have a variety of navigation bars that you can use to replace the inbuilt navigation controls. Even if you don't care for the controls themselves, you can download these and take a look at the advanced actions behind them. Learn from these samples and create your own controls.

To find these use the following steps:

  1. click on the Assets icon in the Captivate toolbar
  2. click Get Free eLearning Assets
  3. Log in with your existing account or create a new account
  4. Mouse over Navigation Players and click on Captivate
  5. Make a selection by mousing over and click Download

These assets will be downloaded to...

This is not possible without having access to someone with either ActionScript programming skills (for SWF output) or HTML5 programming skills (for HTML5 output).

I know you said you want to keep the playbar but in all honesty the easiest way to achieve your goals would be to forget about using the playbar and insert your own navigation objects instead.  Then you can use Advanced Actions to make them do whatever you want.

Helle Rod,

I think this solution could be fine too. I will have a reflection about this. Paul Wilson propose to use e-learning brothers assets too.

I will check it.

Have a nice day,

Chris
