Customizing or Importing Smart Shapes

Captivate v 9.0.1.320

I have found several posts on this topic and figure it would be good to ask again in the event there was a change or will be a change in the update that IT has yet to install.

Has anyone found a way to import paths from Illustrator, Animate, or Photoshop as a custom shape into captivate?

Or how to add and or remove points if you have to edit existing custom shapes?

It would be outstanding if you could import Photoshop custom shapes into captivate.

Some of the posts I have found to save people from reposting as an answer.

Sighing, was one of my first feature requests when CP6 introduced shapes, but apparently only few users are needing that. Either I wanted to have a full set of edit tools for paths (here called shapes), or an easy way to import them from Illustrator or Photoshop. Please, help getting this higher on the priority list by filing a feature request as well.

With the new feature of CP9 that allows importing SVG's I again hoped to be able to turn them in to shapes, which could be another possible enhancements since both AI and PS now make SVG export possible.

No, there is still no way to add or remove points. You can move existing points, you can change the shape by manipulating the tangent points but that is it. I have some workarounds to turn a smooth point into a cusp point but would love to have the full tool set that is available in PS and AI with the pen tool.

What can I do to help?

This would be EXTREEMLY helpful if not the ability to edit the points but the ability to import from Illustrator or Photoshop.

I just logged a request. New to Captivate and I can't believe this has not been addressed yet.
