Default image editor selection in Captivate 5.0

Is there a way to select a default image editor to use for editing images in the background library?  I would like to use Paint for touching up images but can't seem to get it set up as the default (so it's there again the next time I want to edit an image).  Any suggestions?

Thanks for help

Sorry, I have a follow-up question...   I can get the Paint app to show up in the library edit options ('edit with Paint') once I

use it to edit an image, but when I leave Captivate, the link goes away...   Is there anyway to make that permanent?...   Or will I need to establish the link each time I start the app?...

Thks!

Hi there

Unless version 5 changed the playing field on this (and it may have, I haven't tested to be sure) it's been my own experience in Captivate that you simply right-click the image in the Library and choose Edit With and choose the application you wish to use. When you perform this action later, it should then already have the application listed so you choose Edit with MSPAINT or whatever you selected.

I have noticed that it will depend on the file type. Captivate seems to remember what is associated with what. For example, if you inserted a .JPG format image and do the right-click Edit With hokey pokey, you can use perhaps MSPaint for the JPEG file type. Then you can do the right-click Edit With on a .GIF image and use a different application such as TechSmith SnagIt Editor. And Captivate seems to remember these separately.

Hopefully this helps... Rick
