Deleted Advanced Actions Still Showing

In an effort to keep from confusing myself, I've deleted several unused advanced actions. However, they continue to show up in my Advanced Actions drop down. Is this typical?

While I'm at it - is it possible to convert advanced actions into conditional actions? I created an advanced action only to realize that I needed a condition included.

Not converting, but you can copy all the commands with the buttons in the AA dialog box, start a new conditional action, paste the commands in the THEN or ELSE part.

I have several blog posts about shared actions, and in all other use cases on my blog I mostly used shared actions. They can be very useful in the same project. Here is one link:

Which version do you use?  It is possible to delete unused actions, but maybe they are still in use? Didn't you get a warning, do you use the Usage button in the Advanced Actions dialog box?

Another possibility: was this project created based on a template that had Advanced actions? This is a 'bug' (or by design, depending on who is talking), the actions will have been duplicated and you'll not be able to delete the actions that are in the template.

  1. I'm using 9.0.1.320,
  2. I do get a warning, but it's not in use. I checked the Usage window and it's empty.
  3. I started with a brand new project.

It's not crippling or anything; I'm just renaming new advanced actions.

You are not using the latest version which is 9.0.2.437.

Is this happening for a lot of actions? I had that issue, but pretty rarely in last version.

What do you mean by 'renaming new advanced actions'? I suspect you are talking about the fact that you cannot use the same name for a new advanced action, that has been used for an older, even when it is deleted? That problem doesn't exist for shared actions, and in many cases advanced actions can be replaced by shared actions. I prefer to use them whenever possible. They'll appear in the Library, much easier to check usage, number of instances and reuse in same and other projects.
