Deleting Portion of a Slide

I have a slide 3 seconds in duration that begins with the slide loading (with the text "Loading" displaying). Is it possible to delete this loading first portion, so that the slide begins with it being fully loaded? Any assistance with this issue will be greatly appreciated...I sincerely don't know what I'd do without this forum!

From your description of the issue, I assume you must be publishing to HTML5 because SWF output is able to preload slide content well ahead of the time it is viewed but HTML5 only loads the objects for each slide as you reach that slide.

How long the loading GIF shows when you get to the slide will depend on how heavy the slide is. If you want less loading, keep your slides as light as possible.

OK. Now I see what your problem is. You have a screencapture slide and the initial split second of the slide is showing a loading animation which you want to get rid of. Haven't seen this particular issue in a long time.

With slide-by-slide screencapture, the background of the slide is normally just a static image. But Captivate has the ability to add a hidden layer over the top of this image which will show a brief animation that is normally very difficult to capture. It's usually something like a mouseover effect on a button or a flyout menu, or (in your case) a loading animation that goes away almost immediately. This 'feature' was originally designed to make Captivate's screencapture method look more seamless and to eliminate having to capture an extra slide to achieve the same effect.

The 'downside' of this approach is that Captivate provided no default way to get rid of the effect if you didn't want it there.

The easiest ways to get rid of the initial brief animation are just to either recapture the slide again (if you can set it up exactly the same way and in the same position as the first time) or to take another screencapture of the slide background, showing just the secondary part, not the initial animation.
