Deleting slides and file size stays the same?

Hello,

I ma working with some large files sizes, and as I have deleted some slides from a project, the file size of the projects does not get any smaller. I have tried going ot the Library and selecting/delting unused items, but still no change in files size.

Does anyone know how to clear out of the project any of the thihngs that you have previously deleted? It seems like there must be some sort of cache program retaining them.

    Do a Save As once. If no reduction, do a Save As again.

    Haven't tried that in CP4 but it definitely helped in earlier versions.

    If that doesn't do it, copy all slides out and paste into a new project. Will have to redo your overall publish/quiz settings again though...

    To bad there's not a 'Save and Compact' option like in Flash or Authorware...

    Save As works for me.

    You can also try closing your project by clicking File>Close instead of clicking the X.  This seems to help some of us.
