Is there a way for Captivate 9 to know what device or operating system is being used to run a project?

Once published the file is run on a webserver or a LMS, what do you want to know about the device? There is a system variable cpInfoMobileOS where a number will give some info about the used device.

Lilybiri,  Thank you very much for your reply. 

I see that this variable can tell me that I'm running iOS.  Is there a way to distinguish between iPhone and iPad?  I want to be able to display a message to the user, when a video is running on the iPhone, to minimize the video so that it is presented inline with the screen content.

I don't know that, but doubt that it will be possible, at least not with that system variable.
