Is there a way to disable autoplay of slide audio in Captivate 12?  Automatically playing audio does not meet accessibility standards for our organization as it interferes with the screen readers.

"In Captivate 12, autoplaying audio can interfere with screen readers and hurt accessibility. Just like how the Dunkin Donuts menu gives users the freedom to choose what they want and when — your eLearning content should offer the same control. Disable 'Auto Play' in Project > Preferences, and let users trigger audio with a click. Accessibility matters."

Hello, did you ever find a workable solution?

Go to interactions, and "slide interactions +".  Click "slide enter". I would choose "pause timeline".

Then you''ll have to figure out how users will have the audio play.

I thought the same, but this option isn't working for me when I preview the project. I added a slide video media block. Then added a slide level interaction (pause timeline upon slide enter). The video continues to autoplay upon arrival. Any suggestions? Has this worked for you? I'm using Captivate 12.4.

ah, videos are a bit different than audio on a slide, espically slide videos. Is there a reason you are using slide video instead of just "video"? If you used just video, the users could have full control.

Here is my (albeit janky) solution that seems to work with my tests:

make a bookmark .1 seconds in. make the bookmark "pause timeline". Make the start of the video start at the .1 seconds. It won't play until users use the playbar, or you could create a play button. I don't know why the interactions don't work DURING the slide video.
