Anybody have a straight forward way of disabling NEXT button for period of time on content slides and until an answer is given on knowledge check slides?

Has submit, 1 attempt, correct, incomplete and failure message.

Same principle but you have to use a shape button (normal buttons are not possible). Have its timeline start after the pause of the question slide (default is 1.5secs)

oh, I see. Thanks so much! The timeline starts moving again after Submit is clicked. Bummer I have to click twice in order to clear the correct or incorrect message. May not work for me here but something to remember for other things.

Hi, yes, indeed regarding moving button down timeline. Thanks for that. It's the KC slide that's tough for me.

For the KC slide: Multiple choice or TF.  I wanted next button to become active only after KC was answered. Oh, well, does not behave like quiz buttons. I think I am stuck using my own next button on timeline and have it showing after 3 seconds (at least user can't just blow by it and ignore the KC too quickly.)

If I understand 'period of time' correctly, move the timeline of that Next button:

It is not only disabled but will not appear before 12 seconds on this screenshot. If you want it to be visible but disabled you need an event to enable it. A workaround is cheating on Captivate: use two shapes that look like twins: in the first 12secs you use the one that is not a button, and from 12secs on the shape button.

Knowledge slide has a Submit button. What is the setup for your KC slide: number of attempts?
