Disable smartshape button group

Hi

I have created a grid question with 12 smartshape buttons (6 rows with 2 buttons on each row).

I'm using advanced actions with the buttons. I know you:

  • can't disable a group
  • can disable each smartshape button.

To save me from disabling each smartshape button is there something i can put over the buttons so user cannot click on them after clicking Submit.

i.e. if user clicks a button nothing happens.

I don't want to hide the buttons.

Captivate 8.0.1.242, not responsive, HTML only, no LMS.

Regards

Donal.

With most Captivate interative buttons or click boxes the hit areas remain active even when something is placed over the top.  So just use the Advanced Actions to disable the buttons.  It's the most reliable method.

Indeed, you cannot disable all objects in a group, which would be a time saver.

Every interactive object will remain active when covered with a static object. The only exception I did see until now is when you cover a Text Entry Box (interactive object) with a dropdown interactions (static widget).

Even hiding will not always disable a shape button, I know it will not when it is a shape button displayed for the rest of the project. So, anyway you always have to disable each separate shape button.

Thanks Rod and Lieve. I'll disable each button so.
