Disable Typing Audio After it is Recorded

Hi - is there a way to disable the typing sound once you recorded it?

I have deselected the sounds in preferences going forward - but don't want it in my current slide.

When you record a software simulation, in demo mode, you get a typing object which cannot be controlled at all.

You can replace that typing object by a Text animation, using the right-click menu on the typing object in the Timeline. And after that action you can replae it indeed by Typing text without sound. However, beware because Text animatinos are not supported for HTML output, they are Flash-based

When you publish your project, there will be no tapping sounds if you deselect the option in preferences for Publish Settings:

Select the Text Animation object from your timeline and open the Properties panel. Under the Style tab, you will see a drop-down selection list labelled Effect. Change the item from Typing Text With Sound to just Typing Text.

I'm using Adobe 2019 and the entry is "Typing text" not Text Animation.  I do NOT have the "Effects" option under the Properties > Style menu.  I know to turn off the feature for future projects but would really like to use this slide in a current project but can't seem to get the annoying very loud typing sound off...any ideas?

Which exact version? You mention CP2019 but there have been many releases under that common number. You find the exact version number under Help, About Captivate.

Text Animations are not supported for HTML output anymore.

A much better solution for  Software simulation in Demo mode is capturing a Video Demo. Quality is much better and you don't have to bother about this particular issue anymore because you are directly creating a full-blown video.
