Disappearing slides

I've usually created my files from blank, so don't have much experience with recording. However, now that I have to do it, I'm finding a few problems:
I record a few slides (20-odd) click the icon in the system tray to stop, and find that only 10 or so are actually there.
and/or
I finish recording and see nothing at all. But if I try to close Captivate it tells me that "untitled" has changed and asks if I want to save. I click "Yes". On re-launch I open "Untitled", but still see nothing... the menu screen doesn't even change. However, I can't start another file without being told that Untitled is still open, and I can't close it.

This is happening in both Captivate 1 and 2, and I'm on a network.

Any help appreciated.

I don't know if this will help at all but when I first started using Captivate 1 to record I had a similar problem in that it didn't capture all actions I took. I changed the key I was using to stop the recording in the recording settings and it was okay after that. I chose to use the End key instead of the default key (can't remember what that was sorry).

    Good luck
