Question

Displaced audios in inserted swf's

Hi, I am on 14th day of my trial of Captivate 2. I have met a serious problem:

I have one main project, which contains 6 swf's outputted from other captivate projects. All 7 (1+6) projects have recorded audios.

In published swf, when one of the sub swf's playing, its video is ok but audio is from another internal swf, not the original recording.

I've tried to rename all default names, to make each internal audio name unique. But this did not solved the problem.

Any advice?

And if you still insist on what you were doing? start the audio in the child movie from second slide, and put a button or click box on the first slide, so that it does not proceed automatically.

But the best practice is not to do that. :)

    thanks

The answer is - don't do that any more. There are times when it is neat to illustrate something by inserting a Captivate movie into a Captivate movie, but the use you are describing is not at all the way Captivate is intended to be used.

Of if you insist on using Captivate this way, do not place audio in the sub-movies. Instead, use the parent movie for that. Sounds like the parent movie is sittting there with no purpose at all, and the sub-movies are busy enough as it is.
    Good luck.

P.S. If there is a reason you have to do this, I would love to hear about it. It must be a very unique useage and might be worth writing about.
