Displaying Test Results

How to display both pre-test (after each module) and course test (at end of the course testing all modules together) results within the same course using Captivate 8? Both results should be displayed in separate slides. Also, once a user fails in couple of modules, then next time SCORM LMS should throw only failed modules for re-test. All suggestions are most welcomes.

Looking forward for interesting replies!!

Results of the pretest are stored in quizzing system variables. You'll find a list with a link to an explanatory table in this blog post:

System variables in Captivate 8 - Captivate blog

This variables can be used to create a custom score slide, as you asked for, by inserting them in text containers.

The default score slide that is inserted with a regular quiz, will display only the results of the real quiz. No need to create a custom score slide there.

As for your last question about LMS, normally that can be set up with LMS-functionality.

This should help!! Thanks for your prompt reply Lilybiri.

Just wanted to ask whether it is possible to publish a course with several modules through an aggregator, and setting up overall passing criteria of 80% for the course. (This couse should take an average of each module quiz results and then set a condition pass or fail based on the average of all modules). Please correct me if this is only possible by setting up conditions in LMS. Or can this result be achieved within Captivate 8 and then just upload the published files to the SCORM LMS?

Hope I get informative reply soon!!

Personally I would prefer to set it up with LMS functionality, of course it depends on the LMS because they do not all have the same power.

I think you'll need SCORM packager in this case, not aggregator.
