Does an image fill on a shape not scale responsively?

Having this issue.  We have some images we want to use as buttons.  So we set them as image fills in the style property for an oval button.  (I hope this is the best way to do it - let me know if not).

However, when we look at our responsive breakpoints, the buttons are shrinking without the images shrinking.  It looks terrible.

Any advice?

    It is not a responsive image, suspect it is a bitmap image? I cannot answer right away, you didn't tell which version you are using. CP9 is still fresh, but it allows importing SVG, wondering if that will allow responsive images in a shape. Not guaranteed, I'm still exploring the new features myself and this is on my list.

    It is a jpeg.  I can't export SVG as it has too much shading in the image.
