Does anyone know how to edit a random question slide?

I want to put some navigation into a random question slide, but all the options are grayed out.  Any idea how I can edit these slides?

    Whatever you want to be on a random question slide needs to be on the question slides in the question pool. You talk about navigation, but that is rather compllicated since you don't know which question slide will show up at all. If you offered at least some explanation.
