Does Captivate 8 require audio capture at 44 kHz?
I'm fighting an audio sync problem in Captivate 8.
I had a Cp recording session last week with a few SMEs and I got an error when I connected the USB mic to a Windows 7 desktop, which prevented Cp from recording.
I didn't screen capture the error, but to paraphrase i understood it to mean the Captivate and the Mic weren't at the same sample rate.
I tried 41000 Hz, but the same error appeared.
When I set the bit rate to 48000 Hz, the error didn't appear and we were able to record.

Now that I'm editing the Cp files, and have published them as SWF and MP4, the audio and screen capture are out of sync.
I also captured a few segments as Audition WAV files, and we were switching back and forth from Cp to Audition. Since both applications wanted to 'own' the mic, we couldn't have both applications open at once.

The windows file explorer properties window (what a mouthfull!) says the bit rate is 3072 bps:

The other issue that appeared is that Cp saw the mic as very 'hot,' recording at about 150% the volume of Audition (which sounded fine).
Captivate 8 help refers to Audio Sample Rate, but I don't know if this is a default recording rate:

But wait, there's more!
I just checked the properties of one of the audio segments within Cp 8 and found this:

It appears the Captivate see the capture as 44 kHz!
I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this?
Could the sync be off by the difference between the capture rate of 48 kHz and a default rate for Cp of 41 or 44 kHz?
