Double Click Error Issue

Here is the situation:
Slide 5 contains a double click click box taking the user to slide 6. Slide 5 also contains failure text, hint text, scenario text and a stock arrow animation. When the user double clicks on slide 5 they are taken to slide 6 (correctly) however the error text appears on slide 6 before any user interaction.

-If I make the double click action on slide 5 a single click action, the issue does not occur.

-I have completely deleted the action & re-added it to slide 5.

-I have also checked the advanced interaction & did not see anything that would cause concern.

-If I disable the failure caption on slide 6 the issue does not occur (but I need the failure caption).

Anyone? Anyone?

I put a slight delay on the appearance of the click box on the slide after the double click. This seems to have done the trick. Since I have a slide counter on the screen, adding an extra screen isn't an option.

I was having a similar problem to this, where I inserted a double-click click box, then when the next slide appeard, the cursor was not in the next input field. If I made the click box a single-click box, then it worked. At any rate, the workaround that Wedgiey gave worked great. Thank you Wedgiey!!!!

Not sure why the error's happening, but what it sounds like is happening is the 2nd click is triggering the error message in slide 6????? To test this out, try putting a blank slide between slides 5 and 6 ( now 7 ) and make it last all of 0.2 seconds or something. This way the 2nd click won't affect your other 'real' slide if that's what is happening.

    Wedgiey,
Thanks for the idea! It worked great.

Of course this still does not explain why it happened in the first place. I am going to leave this open for a bit while I do some additional research on the issue.

    Thanks again!

Couple other things you can look at. Make sure your double-click isn't actually a 'single click' and you could also try setting it to "continue on click" instead of "go to next slide on click". This might prevent the 2nd click from messing with the next slide too. Glad I could help with the work-around at least :-)
