Downloaded image from Adobe assets not supported by Captivate

I downloaded a few characters from the Captivate 9 asset library. When I tried to insert any of them into the project, I got the following message:

An error occurred while loading this image. The file is damaged or the file type is not supported by AdobeCaptivate.

The 'damaged' part could be a clue too. These are just images, right? So if you double-click to open them, do they open?

Or do you get a Windows 'can't open image' error...in which case, the download was incomplete.

If the file opens properly in Windows (or Mac) then, yes, Rick is correct when talking about the images that typically come with Captivate.

Could it be different if you're accessing the eLearningBrothers images? I have an eLB subscription already so always hit their libraries directly, download, and add the asset to the library... I should think that should work regardless...

How exactly are you attempting to insert them?

Note that the proper way is to click Media > Characters.

    Cheers... Rick
