Drag and Drop, 1 Drag Source, 4 Drop Targets, Different on-success action for each. Is it possible?

Hi.

I have created a boardgame-type infographic, and would want the participant to be able to grab the game piece and drop it in various spaces in the board, each taking them to a different slide. I need the Drag and Drop interaction so that they can pick up and drop the piece. Now, what I need is for each drop target to have a different action, but even if I add each to a different group, if I change an action for one, it applies the change to all drop targets.

Is there any way to work around this?

Also, once/if this is possible, I would add a "back" button on each of those slides, and would need that when the participant returns to the boardgame slide, they can move the piece to a different drop target to read the next description. I'm thinking the best way for this would be to make all answers "wrong", so the game piece doesn't become stuck once they've dropped it on a "correct" drop target. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If I understand you correctly, I believe I have figured it out.

    1. Create your Drag and Drop as you normally would
    2. From the Drag and Drop panel, select the Options tab
    3. Click Set Correct Answers button
    4. Set each drop target to have the drop source of the source (you have to choose Sequence from the Type drop-down list)
    5. Create the slides you plan to display for each drop target
    6. Select one of the drop targets
    7. Go to the Format tab on the Drag and Drop panel
    8. Click the Object Actions... button
    9. Under the action column, you can select Jump to Slide and then select the appropriate slide
    10. Repeat steps 6-9 for each drop target
    11. Preview the project

I did a quick test and it seemed to work according to the parameters you stated above.

Thank you very much, this worked perfectly!

Now for a tiny detail, mainly for immersion purposes: is there any way that when going back to the main slide, the game piece is still placed on the drop target they dropped it on, rather than back on its starting spot?

The design of D&D has been set up that when you leave the D&D slide everything is reset, unless you choose to create a question slide from the D&D slide. In that case the given answer will be frozen like for other question slides, as long as you remain in the same quiz attempt. If you want to override that behavior you have to make sure everything is happening on the same slide. You didn't specify what is on the slide where you jump to, but maybe that could have been setup with states appearing on the D&D slide itself. More info about D&D in:

Please post the name of the program you use so a Moderator may move this message to the correct program forum

This forum is not about help with programs... a program would be Photoshop or Dreamweaver or Muse or ???
