Drag and Drop Captivate 9

Hi!

I created a drag and drop.  3 targets and 3 drop items.

  • When an item is dragged, correctly, I want it to play a sound.  And, it does.
  • When I drag the next item to the target and it is correct, I do not hear anything.
  • Likewise with the third answer.

    Issue 2;
  • How is the drop and drag supposed to work with the "submit" button since I have these sounds applied when the answer is correct?
  • How long should I specify on the timeline?

Thanks,

Norma

    Correct answer Lilybiri

Submit will confirm the answer, add score to total score, and the actions which you specify on Success, Failure will be executed.

About sounds: did you set up the object actions to play the sound?

No need to increase the timeline, D&D has a pausing point. See Actions tab: default setting is 1.5secs. On submit the playhead can be released, that is why the Success action by default was set to Continue; you can change that action of course.

I just got to my captivate file.  Busy morning.

Do I have to have a separate sound for each drop target or can I  use the same sound file?

    thanks

You can use same audio clip, up to you.

    Thanks!

I want to make sure all works - then I can search for different sounds.

    Appreciate your help.

    Thanks Lilybiri.

I'm at home right now, so tomorrow morning I will be able to tell you what I did regarding the sound.

Thanks for the response about timelines.
