Drag and drop in training mode - possible for Captivate 8?

Hi everybody,

I've got one simple question:

My eLearning consists of demonstrations and following trainings. Now imagine there's a drag and drop functionality: You drag an object in the software and drop it somewhere. Is it possible to simulate that also in training mode (when the user needs to act / needs to drag and drop)?

I'm happy to hear from you!
Greetings from Germany,

Chris

You will have to create the drag&drop slide yourself, using either the wizard or the D&D panel. To be able to do it you need all the assets: background, drag sources at least. For the targets you could add shapes. That is why I told you will have to capture those assets, which can be done by adding some extra screen captures during the recording process. Moreover you will probably need a graphics editor (photoshop or similar) to be able to create the drag sources from those screenshots. It is NOT possible to do this with the simple work low of capturing, it will be a slide to be inserted later on.

You could do it, but have to create it manually, it will not be part of a training simulation as you can capture with Captivate. Be sure to insert enough background images by using manual screenshots (PrintScreen is the default shortcut key).

Thanks, Lilybiri! But I don't understand how to create it manually...? I don't want to capture the drag and drop action (this works!) I want the learner to drag and drop in the training / exercise. Means: I need to tell the action setting, that learner needs to hold the object and drop it somewhere I define. Til now I only see that it's possible to click, double click, left click, short cut combination etc.

Hope for more hints, thanks everybody in advance!
