Drag and Drop Quiz Question Not Resetting

Hello-

I've added a drag and drop question to my quiz. It works fine on the first pass-through, but if the user does not pass the quiz the D&D does not reset upon slide reentry. The second pass through of the course does not display any the undo/reset buttons and I cannot re-drag any of the items. This is problematic since a 100% score is required to pass the quiz. Is there a way I can reset the question upon slide entry so the user can retake the question?

I'm using Captivate 9. The D&D is set to 1 attempt because I found that setting it a higher number of attempts kept the user stuck on the slide until all attempts were used. It is not currently reporting to an LMS, but it will be early next year.

Yes. Both courses have a custom results slide, but there is a retake button on that page that displays when there is a failure.

Do you mean that you don't visit the default score slide at all? Hmmm... can you try to insert the default score slide before the custom score slide. You can enter it and then jump to the custom score slide. It could solve your problem.

The slide I showed is the default score slide that we altered to fit our needs, we hid all the default info and added our own variable

Sorry, but D&D is not having the full functionality of the other quiz types. Retake should indeed reset the D&D and the score will be reset to 0. If it is a KC slide it will automatically recent on leaving the slide.

But, I have another course where we use a D&D in the final quiz and it does reset upon quiz retake!

The main difference between the course where it functions and the one I'm currently having trouble with, is that in the previous quiz the D&D was the only non-standard question type. In this current course, all of the questions are custom built rather than using the built-in question formats.

Do you have any idea why the use of custom questions would result in no reset?

How did you create the custom questions? I just did a quick double-check, create a short project with a couple of scored objects and a scored D&D slide. I inserted the Score slide and had the Retake button, and the D&D slide was reset, just like in a course with normal quiz slides. I am on version 2017. Which version do you use?
