Drag and Drop target moves

I have different states for my drag object and drag target (upon correct). When I preview it from Captivate (2017) it works fine. But when I preview it on a HTML5 browser or publish it, the target area seems to shift down and to the right. I can see the "drag over" state  when I drag my object way off target (down and to the right about half a screen). When I remove the different states from my drag objects and drop targets, the drag and drop interaction works fine. But it's very boring! I use four states for both drag object and drag targets.

Thank you!

To the right and down? How did you create the states? If you use copy/paste, even in a state the pasted object has shifted 10px down and 10px to the right. I asked form the beginning for states not to have that default behavior, but since I am probably one of very few who asked for that change, it never made it. Can I recommend that you check each of the InBuilt states carefully, use the Options tab in the Properties to check the exact position.

No, this shift was more than the 10px shift from duplicating an object. These were actual states. They work perfect when previewing within Captivate, but when you preview in a browser (normal or HTML5) the shift is at least 60px to the right and down. It's frustrating! I change the state of the drag objects to include DragOver, DragAccept and DragStart. My drop target uses DropCorrect, Drag Over and DropAccept. All created from +New State. I tried to upload screen captured images, but the Add Media did not allow this. I will send you the .CPTX in a .ZIP file via dropbox if that's OK?

I'm sorry, but I decided not to accept files for debugging. I try to help here, in my free time but my job is consultancy.

Try to come directly to the Adobe forums, where it is much easier to insert screenshots.

This is the thread of your discussion:

You probably did see my blog post (with link to an embedded movie) about D&D states?
