Drag and Drop Timing issue

Hello, I'm struggling with a drag and drop.  After the first object is dropped to it's target, it pauses correctly.  However, after a second object is dropped (no matter which one) the slide begins to play and may move to the next slide before the user is ready.  Any tips on what's causing this?

Thanks!

Solution is to replace the simple command 'Play Audio' by a oneline standard action (Play Audio) and in the object action choose 'Execute Advanced Action'. Alternative (if you need that action with other audio clips) is a shared action with one line and one parameter (the audio clip).

You can read about the reason in this blog post:

Why choose Standard over Simple action? - Captivate blog

In CP9 there is a better solution, but that will not help you.

Could you show a screenshot of the Object Actions dialog box?

Normally D&D slide is paused at 1.5secs and remains paused until the Submit button is clicked.

However if you have simple (= 1 command) object actions defined, and you are not using CP9 (where you can prevent releasing the playhead with a simple object action), the playhead is released.

Next question: which version are you using?

Hi Lilybiri!  Thank you so much.  You described my problem exactly.  I don't want the drag and drop to be a quiz - I want them to learn as they go so it will only accept correct answers.  Because of this, I "hid" the submit button.  It pauses for 1.5 seconds and then releases the playhead.  I attached a screenshot and I'm using Captivate8
