Is there a way that drag items can be shown in their correct drop zones should the user fail to answer the question in the specified number of attempts?

    Hello There,

    Welcome to Adobe Forums,

I don't think you will be able to create this type of scenario in Drag and drop interation ,

But you can try one thing that may work for you .

You can create a video/ animation (.swf) for the correct options of Drag and drop , then you can insert it on a slide.

once the user fails the quiz you can jump to that slide , which will let the user know about the correct answers.

    Thanks and Regards

If I wanted to try that, would immediately turn to the InfoSemantics D&D interactive widget. It is complementary to the built in Drag&Drop, I'm using both depending on the requirements.

    Thanks Lilybiri,

I have looked at both of InfoSemantics Interactive D&D widget and the D&D lite Question widget as well as the D&D widget in Captivate itself, but I can't seem to find this as an option within any of them. Have I overlooked an obvious setting?

I haven't tried it out, as I mentioned. The big advantage of the InfoSemantics Interactive (not the question) is that you can have multiple widgets on one slide. But honestly, would have to try it out, so don't believe me right away. And so busy here (I'm on vacation far away from home, but www and connections are everywhere).
