Drag & drop and slide advance issues

Can anyone here help me?  I am a student just learning Captivate and I'm having three big issues.  I have been searching online and would appreciate any help you can offer.

1. Even with a "next" button and the button setting to "pause after", the audio for the next slide starts automatically.  How can I make it wait until the button is clicked?

2. In a drag & drop interaction Captivate moves some of my drop items to new places (this interaction has multiple items and multiple correct answers).

3. My failure message for the above drag & drop interaction is coming up even if the answer is correct.

About your audio issue, I suspect you have slide audio (timeline visible in the Timeline panel)? In that case make sure to leave a small gap before and/or after the audio clip:

Short explanation: for HTML5 output each audio file needs to be loaded when entering the slide (was different for SWF) and since audio files can be very big, that needs time. Moreover if the audio clips start on the first frame ane end on the last frame of each slide, it is possible that Captivate sees them as one big project audio file. It will be loaded then on the first audio slide, but you will have synchronization problems for sure due to the very big file size. Having those gaps could remediate both problems.

As for you D&D issues: check the bounding boxes of all your drag sources and drop targets: avoid possible overlaps! I suspect both your problems could be due to overlaps. If that is not solving the problem, it would be good to show some screenshots of the setup.

Thank you so much!  I added a tiny bit of time at the beginning and end of the audio for each slide and now it is working perfectly!!

For point number 1 check out this tutorial I did a few years back. It was made with an earlier version of Captivate but the process to recreate this would be the same. https://youtu.be/XKLdEIMmFKY

For point number 2 sometimes it will snap to the drop target closest to where you are attempting to drag it. The solution is to simply add more space between your drop targets.

My video addresses this by creating all-new captions which you may prefer.

Thank you so much!  I had to shrink the size of my drop targets quite a bit, but it completely solved the random movement issue.  I am still having a little trouble with Captivate recognizing the correct answers though.  As I mentioned, this scenario has multiple possible correct answers.  I have added them all into "set correct answers", but could there be something else I'm missing?  Here is a screenshot of one of the answers:

Never mind.  I removed several of the options to simplify the scenario and now it appears to be working.
