Drop down menu list

I have created lots of content to display within Captivate & I thought form using the Menu Builder that I would be able to able to use the +/- symbols to expand/ decrease my sub categories. It seems that when one publishes, the list of menu options just appears to be, well, random text headings. Users then have to re-organise the headings in to some form of order & it does not seem possible to collapse/ expand syb categories.

Surely this cannot be right? Please help.

    Hi Ady Man

I think where MenuBuilder misleads you with this is when you use the built in "Wizard" to create your menu items. IIRC, you are prompted in that fashion for input. But that isn't what you end up with. (I might be wrong about that, as it's been a long while since I used it)

The bottom line is that with MenuBuilder, you do end up with a single screen that simply has links to launch movies. These links don't expand or contract. The only possible ways I've seen this are by using other things like possibly RoboHelp to produce a collapsing and expanding Table of Contents or possibly Jesse Warden's Captivate player. But I don't believe the Captivate Player allows collapsing and expanding other than simple display of a one level list of movies.

RoboHelp just for this purpose would seem a bit extreme (the product is expensive). The Captivate Player may be more along the lines of what you are looking for.
