Duration of Success Caption

Hi All,

I am using Adobe Captivate 9 and have created a SmartShape (with image fill) and using it as a button to display help information when a user clicks on the button. The button is timed to display for the rest of slide and is not set to Pause after x seconds.  There are a number of these buttons on each screen providing help information to assist users as they work their way around a system demonstration I have recorded.  The final output needs to be available for iPADs hence why I have not used rollovers.

Is there anyway to change the duration of the Success Caption from default of 3 seconds ?  I have looked at Edit Preferences ; Defaults ; Object Defaults ; SmartShape and changed the style I am using duration from 3 seconds but does not work.  I have also looked at Object Style Manager for the Smart Shape style but cannot see anywhere to amend the duration.

Is this hard coded within Captivate ?  Is there anyway I can get to the duration and amend ?

Any help greatfully received !

    Dont worry !

    Solved it !!

All I needed to do was right click on the Success Caption and select Revert to Text Caption from the Menu and then change the Duration of the Text Caption to 10 seconds (for example) on the Timing Tab.  Note that the Text Caption does not appear on your timeline
