Question

Echo on playback of recording

I created a simulation in which I simply recorded as I went through the mouse clicks on screen. Everything appeared to be okay until I clicked on at one point and then there was an echo in the recording. I had this happen in two different sessions. Does anyone have a solution about how to eliminate the echo or how to avoid getting an echo when doing a narration?

Thanks for your help!

Are you bringing this into Dreamweaver and then Dreamweaver asks if you want to save the object settings and you select yes, that gives you an echo. Click no and you will not have an echo.

Even i noticed the same problem while working on demonstration. This is not consistent but happns without reason. When you rerecord then it might not happen. But it does appear anytime without any explicit reason.:(

We've had echos sometimes, and when we regenerate they usually go away, so we concluded that something went wrong when the presentation was generated.

Explain, "Everything appeared to be okay until I clicked on at one point and then there was an echo in the recording." What was it that you clicked? (Something within the simulation or a Captivate command?) Are you recording narration while you are recording the simulation?

One suggestion, shoot your simulation first, and then go back and add the audio. Let us know if it happens when you add the audio that way.
