Not that easy for a newbie at all....None of the default type of questions allows this, since I presume that you'd offer the whole sentence. It is not possible to make changes to text in Captivate unless you use the Scrolling Text interaction, which can be set to accept user input. You can add a submit button without problems, but the issue is that you would need an advanced conditional action that checks if the 'words' that had to be corrected are indeed present in the sentence in the correct writing. Once I created an example on my blog that is bit linked with what you want. Have a look, to see if the complication of such an approach is not too hard for you?
Custom Short Answer Question - Captivate blog
The only way out of the box is the default Short Answer question. The user will have to wait until he is in Review mode (one of the Quiz features) before seeing the 'correct answer'. The feedback captions can be used to explain immediately after submitting the question. In that case I would put the sentence to be corrected as 'question' and have the (blank) short answer below it: it means that the user will have to retype everything including the corrections. Issue: everything has to be exactly as what you specify as 'correct answer'.
