When you create animated text it doesn't give you the opportunity to center it within the text window. We have tried everyting but are baffled on this one.

I actually figured out a solution:

I used <shift-enter> to create new lines in the text animation, and then just adjusted the spacing from the right to line up each row based on the visual output. I did not want to use multiple programs to create my project... Thanks for your help!

Captivate does not allow you to specify the alignment of the text *inside* the animation. The text inside the animation is always left-justified.

If you need the text to draw from the center of the animation, you'll need to create the animation yourself in Flash.

Hi jbartee

While you are correct that there are no options for this while editing the Animation text, you actually are able to center it if that is what you want.

After you insert the animation on the slide, try right-clicking it and choosing Align > Center horizontally in window.

I am also trying to solve this puzzle... I need to center a text animation, and I am also attempting to use a different font size in part of the animation - neither option seems to be available...

Is there a way around this? The center option you list leaves the text left aligned but moves it to the center of the page - this does not create the desired effect...
