Some of my slide presentations, including all the new ones, will not allow me to edited in Cp. I receive an error saying check my Microsoft download- which I have Microsoft 2010- some of my decks are previous versions and work, but the ones I need are newer

It sounds as if you're saying that you have PowerPoint files that are newer but that you have an older version of PowerPoint, that of 2010. That is why you're getting the message. When you try to edit the PPT in Captivate, Captivate is attempting to open PowerPoint to let you edit the slide or slides and it can't find a compatible version of PowerPoint.

In other words, try opening the newer PPT files you have in your current version of PowerPoint outside of Captivate and you may find you can't open them because your version of PowerPoint is too old. If somehow you are able to open them in your older version of PowerPoint, try to save them in PowerPoint 2010 format and then you should be OK.

Are you saying the PowerPoint Roundtrip Editing feature is not working in Captivate 9 for files created back in 2010?

If so, you may be correct that PowerPoint files created with a Microsoft Office version earlier than Windows XP might be the reason.
