Is it true that I must select the Generate Audio option again if I decide to change the text or speech agent within Captivate 8?

Yes, the generate audio function actually creates an audio file based on these settings only when the user triggers the generate audio for the slide, or via speech management, for the project.

Yes, you have to generate the audio again, it will automatically replace the existing slide audio.
